Summers and sangrias. The two are a perfect match. A beautiful combo that I look forward to. If you are looking for the perfect healthy sangria to be sipping on for summer, I got you covered.
Hello, summer time! How are we in July already? I’m loving this beautiful summer weather and these days filled with sunshine and warm temperatures. I adore and look forward to those summer evenings gathered with friends and family sipping on a glorious glass of chilled white wine or rosé (in a pretty little glass, please). There is something so beautiful about a bottle of pink rosé and it feels like the perfect summer drink. All this rosé talk got me thinking a lot about mixing up a sangria with rosé. Of course, it includes a variety of fresh and healthy ingredients.
I’m all about adding a fun and refreshing twist to the wine by throwing in little extras such as strawberries or raspberries.
Here’s a sangria recipe that I made and was 100% refreshing and delicious:
Ingredients
∗ 1 cup strawberries, chopped
∗ 1 cup raspberries
∗1 lemon, thinly sliced
∗1-2 handfuls of mint chopped up
∗1 bottle rosé or white wine
∗1 cup vodka
∗ 1/2 cup of sparkling water
∗ 1 handful of ice
Directions
In a pitcher, add strawberries and raspberries.
Add the wine, vodka, sparkling water into the pitcher. Throw in your lemon and mint. Let sit in your fridge for 30 minutes. Before you serve, add your ice. Garnish your glass with mint, lemon, or strawberries. Sip away at this sangria and enjoy the refreshing experience.
P.S. You can make this for the kids too- make them a separate one in a different pitcher and add some sparkling apple juice (leave out the alcohol- obviously). A healthy version of a Slurpee and they will feel totally fancy.
