I love Fall to jump back into routine and really start thinking about those habits and rituals done daily that create a huge change in health for me.
This time of the year I am really focused on building up my immune system and taking my health to the next level. Here’s my daily go-to’s for sculpting beautiful health:
WATER
This one is worth repeating. I always talk about the importance of water intake daily. But for real, are you getting enough H20 into your day?
If you want to start incorporating small little habits into your daily healthy lifestyle, this one will make a huge difference. Start drinking more water. Really, it’s that simple. The recommended daily intake of water is half your body weight in ounces. I aim to drink 3-4 liters daily. Work your way up to that and start your morning off with lemon water before anything else (yes, even your coffee).
A quick little tip to boost your water intake is to add a drop of essential oil into your water bottle. 1-2 drops of grapefruit, wild orange, lemon, or lime and my personal fav. These citrus oils will boost your water and contain and constituent called lymene that will help to gently cleanse your body while energizing your cells. Purity and potency are important when choosing essential oils. These are the ones I use in my wellness plan.
MOVES
An important part of healthy living is getting your moves in. Getting your blood pumping and heart rate up is major in your healthy lifestyle. My little rule is 20 minutes. A quick time frame to get that heart pumping and gives me an overall healthy feeling, A few of my favorite way to move the body is:
- running/walking
- bike riding
- yoga
- HIIT training
- free weights
A quick tip I love to do is to put out my workout clothing the night prior so in the morning I don’t have to think about anything except jumping into that outfit. I have the clothes laid out in a spot I see right away and
OUTSIDE
Daily, daily gotta get in that daily Vit D fix. Soaking up other nature is an incredible way to boost your mood and increase your energy.
Morning, noon, and night do your best to get outside even if it’s just for a brief moment.
EATS
Talking about whole food here. Real food- not from a box or package. Try eating as many different colors of fruit and veggies as possible. Sounds easy right? 10 servings of fresh fruit and vegetables. A smoothie is a quick way I love to add in a huge amount of fruits and veggies in a cup. I can easily have 5-6 servings in a single smoothie.
Get to love healthy fats (avocado, olive oil, nuts, seeds, eggs, cream, salmon). Healthy fats are amazing for:
- energy
- keeping you feeling full
- healthy brain function
- cardiovascular health
JOURNAL
One of my most favorite tools I use daily. Journals are amazing for self-awareness and getting clear on things in your beautiful life. Personally, I am a huge journal fan.
I carry one around with me for those times when I come up with ideas or when I’m planning something out. One of my most favorite times to journal is in the morning when the house is quiet and I have my diffuser going (my morning blend is usually peppermint and wild orange)
A few of my favorite things to journal about are:
- gratitude (5 things)
- planning (an event, trip, or occasion)
- awareness
- I AM statements
- food/ nutrition (trust me it’s never what you think)
I encourage you to go out and purchase a cute journal and start filling up those pages.
If journaling is new to your life and you are having a hard time sitting down and writing, I would start setting a timer for 5 minutes and just get writing. This timer trick works beautifully.
